 PRIVACY POLICY NOTICE

State Highway Patrol Federal Credit Union is an organization committed and dedicated to excellence through a sense of ownership. Through this continuous commitment, we will maintain an environment that fosters the growth and development of our membership. We are a member owned organization with a strong desire to be the absolute best -continuously striving to deliver a valuable line of products and superior services with uncompromising integrity. State Highway Patrol FCU embraces this commitment to both meet and exceed the needs of our members. This commitment is ongoing with this notice, which is designed to explain to you what types of member information we collect and under what circumstances we may share that information.

Information We Collect About You

We will gather information about our members or former members from all or some of the following:

  • Information we receive from members on applications, questionnaires, surveys or   other forms (for example, name, address, social security number, assets and income, employment information.)
  • Information abour members' transactions with us or others.  This information may include your account balances, payment and account transactions or usage.
  • Information we receive from credit or consumer reporting agencies, such as information relating to your credit worthiness, your credit score, credit usage and from third parties to verify information you have given us.

Information We May Disclose

We do not share confidential, personal information about our members or former members with anyone except as permitted by law. We may share information in any of the following circumstances:

  •  As permitted by law to affect, administer, or enforce transactions you requested.
  •  You request or authorize that the information be shared
  •  The disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud against your account.
  •  The disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law or court order .

Our Security Principles and Confidentiality Measures

We restrict access to members information to:

  •  Employees who need to know the information in order for the credit union to conduct its business. Our employees are trained on the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy.
  •  Outside companies who perform duties required for us to service your accounts (for example VISA credit card, MAC /STAR MoneyMaster debit card, Liberty Check printers, Credit Reporting agencies
  •  Outside companies we may hire to perform our annual Supervisory audit. (for example they may send a verification notice for your review and acceptance)
  •  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your personal information and to comply with Federal regulations.

We will only disclose non-public personal information about our members to affiliates and third parties who demonstrate a strong commitment to protect the confidential member information disclosed, and who have approved privacy policies comparable to those of this credit union.
